Why An Incubator? Sprints & Saunters...
I had a great call with a branding expert today, and she said, “Why an incubator?” She was referring to the Subscription Box Incubator I’m launching with my friend Julie Ball of Sparkle Hustle Grow & Subscription Box Basics on January 24. Julie grew her box to $2.5 million in sales before selling in 2022 for multiple six figures. Julie is one of the queen of subscription boxes and has been featured in Forbes, PopSugar and Mashable. She is a true local success story, and she has a passion for supporting women entrepreneurs. We are lucky to learn from one of the queens of subscription boxes, in person as she’s never offered support in this format before.
We use the word “incubator” when we are co-creating something new that will result in more money in your business. We’re literally taking you from idea to launch with your box in just 8 weeks, and this kind of hands-on, personal attention is a gamechanger. You will skip all the mistakes, all the second-guessing, and have every question answered. You will have us as your cheerleaders, support system, and connections. You will gain insider knowledge and be guided every step of the way so that you can start collecting pre-orders in Q2.
But back to, “Why an incubator?” I think in-person, small group formats are arguably the most powerful way to learn and grow—and the most fun. But this isn’t just about learning from one of the experts on subscription boxes. This is about co-creating with a group, building something new with expert guidance and feedback so you can start faster, smarter, and easier. And we can do anything for 8 weeks, right? Pushing through and making this weekly commitment means showing up for yourself, your business, and your community in new, amazing ways. Then, schedule a break—even if just for a full day!—and celebrate the fruits of your sprint with a well-deserved saunter.
Because as entrepreneurs, we are in it for the long haul. We are creators and creatives. We continuously think about what our audience needs and wants. And we know that we have to plan for the future and find ways to work smarter, not harder. Entrepreneurship can be all-consuming, and we hope that adding a steady income from a subscription box can help make that monthly budgeting a little—or a lot—easier.
